Laura joined the United Way of Central Kentucky team in 2019 following a career in social services. Laura has been a longtime champion for the community through her work, as well as a volunteer for Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the local Masonic Lodge. In addition to these, she was also a volunteer with the Ancestral Trail Historical Society where she helps people research their family history.

Originally from Oklahoma, Laura has lived in Hardin County for 14 years and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from Northern Kentucky University. Laura is a great addition to the UWCK team and is passionate about expanding volunteer opportunities in our community for agencies and volunteers alike.   

Laura lives with her husband Blane with whom she shares 5 children, 7 grandchildren, four cats and two dogs. In her free time Laura enjoys growing herbs and cooking, coding, studying genealogy, spending time with friends and family, and collecting miniature perfume bottles - adding to her collection of over 2000 bottles!
