United Way of Central Kentucky is hosting a week-long Day of Action on June 19th- 25th. Day of Action is an opportunity to volunteer and help our local nonprofits, schools, and churches complete projects that they wouldn’t normally be able to finish without the help of the community. The goal is to recruit hundreds of volunteers within Hardin, Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue and Meade Counties to help complete these projects. Projects can range anywhere from sprucing up landscaping, painting a facility, helping with filing and administrative needs, or distributing food to clients as part of a mobile pantry. During last year’s week-long Day of Action, over 200 volunteers participated and worked an estimated 745 hours. What can you do for your community this year?
If you are interested in summiting a project or would like to volunteer please contact Ashley Tiemann at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (270) 737-6608.
