Young Professionals Network (YPN) is a United Way of Central Kentucky and Hardin County Chamber of Commerce sponsored organization that develops and prepares our community's future leaders by providing young professionals, ages 21-40, with opportunities to build relationships, enhance the community, grow professionally, and engage with top political, civic and business leaders.
Through community engagement, YPN provides opportunities, individually and as a group, to get involved in and enhance the community on a leadership level. That’s where United Way of Central Kentucky comes into play. UWCK believes in the potential of young professionals to shape our community, both now and as future leaders. One of the opportunities created is through the Engage series. Engage provides young professionals in the area a chance to learn more about their community. Each quarter, members from Y.P.N. meet at an off-site location that is vital to the functionality of the community, where members have the opportunity to learn about the organization, as well as take a tour of the facility when available.
Through professional development, YPN provides opportunities for members to learn how to advance themselves personally and professionally in their career. One of the opportunities created is through the Develop Series. Develop provides young professionals learning opportunities taught by local business leaders. Workshops cover topics such as personal branding, effective leadership, and importance of community involvement.
