Volunteer Projects

Go Beyond Your Workplace: Get Out and Serve

Does your company currently run a United Way Workplace Giving Campaign or donate a corporate gift to UWCK? If so, aligning your company’s philanthropic goals with strategic volunteerism is a great way to boost employee engagement, foster teamwork and give back to the community in a tangible way. Let our team of volunteer engagement specialists customize a project or partner you with an existing need to provide this opportunity without it falling back on your employees to coordinate.
Volunteers will learn about the depth and breadth of United Way’s community partners who create sustainable, positive changes in the lives of local low-income families. By enhancing your company’s United Way giving campaign with volunteer projects, employees will also gain a better understanding of where their donations are going and how they are benefitting the community.
We can match companies with one of our community-based nonprofit partners and tailor an experience based on their specific needs and skills of the volunteers. Team-based projects can be on- or off-site.

Sample Projects:

  • Grow for Good
Altec is working to help bring fresh produce to hungry families in Hardin and surrounding counties by donating extra produce from their individual gardens this summer.

  • Hardin Memorial Hospital Day of Service
Over 800 hours were dedicated by the Hardin Memorial Hospital Leadership team to renovate and revitalize the SpringHaven Domestic Violence Shelter with a $26,000 project value.
