Day of Caring 2012
Lend your muscle! Lend a day!
Join us for the 1st annual Day of Caring on Saturday, July 21, 2012! The goal is to recruit hundreds of new and returning volunteers for a record-setting day of service at all types of nonprofit agencies, schools, and churches throughout Hardin, Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue, and Meade Counties. The event will be a way for the communities throughout the region to join together to LIVE UNITED. If you are ready to get involved in making your community a better place to live for all, read on!
Volunteers
Individuals, families, and company teams will be matched with meaningful projects addressing community and agency needs. The United Way of Central Kentucky is initiating this event in order to promote volunteerism throughout the service area as part of the United Way mission to mobilize communities and advance the common good.
Agencies
Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency, school, government agency, or church in the United Way of Central Kentucky five county service area is invited to submit a project proposal for the Day of Caring. Projects can be just about any task that improves or adds value to your facility or services, and that volunteers can accomplish in a day.
